How often do we tend to assume that our appearance is fairly much "fixed" and that, beyond superficial cosmetic changes, there is little we can do about it? It can be hard to realise that a very great deal of our appearance is all about the impression we make - the impression we project. Whether we know it or not, we are always putting our beliefs and attitudes on display. When we encounter others, we are showing them, not so much our physical features as what we believe about ourselves and about the world.
Sometimes it's important to challenge our own assumptions and ask ourselves what it is we are taking with us into the world.
